Job summary

BJAK is seeking backend engineers to build the core systems behind BJAK's AI Neobank app. You will design reliable APIs, workflows and financial product infrastructure that can scale across markets and millions of users.

You will collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer journeys quickly, integrate with banks, payment gateways and data providers, and improve security and observability in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design and production debugging.
  • Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
  • Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases.
  • Able to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality and risk.
  • Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations and business teams.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking or regulated products is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Build backend services, APIs and workflows for the AI Neobank app.
  • Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and financial services.
  • Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operations.
  • Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly.
  • Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other partners.
  • Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance.
  • Build systems that are practical, auditable and ready for regulated financial products.
