Job summary

ConnectOS in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to handle Australian tax compliance, BAS/Lodgments, and SMSF administration for multiple clients. You will maintain ledgers, prepare financial statements, and support corporate secretarial tasks with CAS or equivalent software.

The role involves daily Xero work, client liaison, and meeting deadlines, with the option for remote work from the Philippines. A 3–5 year background in the specified areas is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of practical experience in Australian tax, BAS and bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with SMSF administration and relevant software (e.g. BGL) or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with bookkeeping software (ideally Xero) and daily admin bookkeeping tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business income tax returns for a diversified client base.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and GST returns for clients.
• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts.
• Perform routine bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, GL maintenance, data entry.
• Support corporate secretarial tasks: annual statements, share transfers, direct changes using CAS or similar.
• Administer SMSFs: prepare and maintain SMSF records with suitable software (e.g. BGL).
• Daily admin support: assist with bookkeeping and Xero tasks for clients; support senior partner as needed.
• Liaise with clients to gather information, respond to queries, and meet compliance deadlines.
