Job summary

RecruitGo Careers is seeking an experienced Australian Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end bookkeeping for Australian clients using Xero, including reconciliations, payroll, invoicing, and reporting. The role focuses on accurate financial records, compliance tasks, and timely client communication.

You will collaborate with accountants and senior bookkeepers in a remote, home-based role in the Philippines, supporting a diverse client portfolio and ensuring timely delivery of statements and reports.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Australian accounting or bookkeeping practice.
• Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, GST, BAS, payroll and superannuation requirements.
• Experience using Xero is essential.
• Familiarity with Dext, Deputy, Lightspeed, Square or similar platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients in Xero cloud.
• Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS; handle GST reconciliation and PAYG.
