Job summary

Peoplegig is seeking a dedicated Accountant / Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for an Australian retail company. The role is remote, Philippines-based, aligned with Australian business hours, and involves end-to-end bookkeeping, AR/AP, and month-end reporting.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience in retail/e-commerce settings, with a eye for accuracy, governance, and remote collaboration with Australian stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
• Minimum three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience supporting Australian business is preferred.
• Proficiency with GST/BAS, payroll, and month-end accounting.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and transactional accounting across sales, expenses, and payments.
• Process supplier invoices and reconcile statements.
• Allocate customer payments and manage AR.
• Perform inventory reconciliations and COGS calculations.
• Prepare month-end journals and financial reports.
• Assist with BAS, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
