Job summary

Navigata365 is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage Australian payroll for a portfolio of Australian clients from a fully remote setup. Requires at least 3 years of Australian payroll experience and strong Xero Payroll skills.

You will handle payroll processing, setups for new starters, PAYG, superannuation, tax compliance, and ensure compliance with enterprise agreements while leveraging our documented templates and weekly training.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years with current payroll experience in Australian payroll.
• 3+ years using Xero Payroll.
• Australian Diploma of Payroll Services or related field qualification.
• Current Xero Certified Advisor qualification.
• Experience with payroll compliance and reporting.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll for Australian clients using Xero.
• Payroll setup and payrun processing per enterprise agreements and compliance.
• Set up new starters, PAYG, superannuation, salary packaging, terminations, and EFT ABA files.
• Ensure accurate payroll tax, STP submissions, and superannuation lodgements.
• Monitor and implement legislative changes in payroll practices.
• Handle payroll adjustments, journals and statutory compliance.
• Follow Navigata365 workflows and templates and contribute process improvements.
