RecruitGo Careers is seeking an Intermediate Australian Accountant to join our team remotely from the Philippines. The ideal candidate has Australian accounting experience, is proficient in Xero, handles GST and BAS, and can work Sydney business hours.

You will prepare financial statements, tax returns, payroll in Xero, and support the team with tax compliance and bookkeeping tasks. Strong English communication, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.

Competenze

• Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Australian accounting and tax (public practice preferred).
• Solid working knowledge of Australian income tax and GST.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Proficiency in Xero and Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Able to work Sydney business hours (AEST/AEDT).
• Honest, reliable and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.

Mansioni

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts.
• Prepare BAS and IAS, including GST reconciliations.
• Process payroll in Xero, including STP reporting and super.
• Maintain and reconcile client accounts in cloud accounting systems, and prepare year-end adjustments.
• Prepare complete, well-organised working papers for review, and help improve our templates and processes.
• Record time and prepare jobs in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) so they can be invoiced and finalised.
• Manage your own workflow to meet deadlines and quality standards for client jobs.
• Prepare queries lists and correspond with clients on information needed, as directed.
• Support senior accountants and management with accounting, tax compliance and bookkeeping tasks.
• Attend weekly workflow meetings.
