Job summary

hammerjack is seeking an AU Intermediate Bookkeeper in the Philippines to maintain accurate records for Australian clients. Responsibilities include processing transactions in Xero, payroll, BAS/IAS support, and timely reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years Australian bookkeeping experience with solid accounting background.
• Working knowledge of Australian GST, payroll, STP lodgement, and Superannuation Guarantee.
• Hands-on with Xero and familiarity with MYOB, QuickBooks, Hubdoc, Karbon, or similar tools.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; quick to learn new systems.
• Strong attention to detail with timely, high-quality work and minimal supervision.
• CPA qualification is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize income, expenses, and other transactions in Xero.
• Collect, review, upload, and attach invoices, receipts, and supporting records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable within agreed timelines.
• Prepare Australian payroll, STP lodgements, and SG payments.
• Weekly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with BAS and IAS preparation and maintain accurate records.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and follow-ups.
• Identify risks during checks and raise practical actions with the team.
