Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support a US-based recruiting firm from the Philippines. You will handle invoicing, AR, contracts, and financial reporting with strong Excel skills and professional client communication.

The role requires independent management of recurring financial processes, month-end close support, and data integrity across the ATS system. This is a full-time remote position with EST business hours.

Qualifications

Accounting or bookkeeping background; degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced Excel skills and data-analysis abilities.
Excellent written and spoken English for professional client communications.
Strong understanding of invoicing, AR, and reconciliations.
CPA preferred but not required.
Experience with Bill.com or similar AP/AR platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

Generate and send client invoices, apply payments, and maintain billing records.
Monitor AR, follow up on overdue accounts, and escalate as needed.
Draft client service agreements using templates and manage e-signatures.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, metrics, and KPIs.
Support month-end close, reconciliations, data cleanup, and audits.
Maintain data in the recruiting/ATS system.
Communicate with US clients regarding invoices and payments.
Perform other finance, accounting, and data-related duties as assigned.
