Job summary

Hammerjack in the Philippines is seeking an Assistant Accountant to maintain accurate ledgers, process AP/AR, and support month-end close for Australian clients. This fully remote role/ offers a collaborative finance team and ongoing mentoring.

You'll need a degree in accounting or finance, experience with Xero, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Australian standards is a plus, with growth opportunities ahead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Experience as Assistant Accountant preferred.
• Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance desirable.
• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced).
• Good communication and analytical abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Resolve broker queries and address account issues efficiently.
• Deliver responsive support to accounts-related queries.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense entries accurately.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules.
• Support month-end close and management reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet and maintain documentation.
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects and process improvements.
