This role focuses on handling various bookkeeping tasks, requiring at least one year of AppFolio experience and knowledge of real estate accounting principles. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. This is a full-time remote position available only to candidates in the Philippines, with a schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations.

We are seeking an Appfolio Bookkeeper to join our team and assist with various bookkeeping and accounting tasks for our clients.

Job duties

• Assist with monthly bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Support client communication and inquiries under the guidance of senior bookkeepers
• Contribute to the month-end closing process and report generation
• Assist with new property set-ups, move-outs, owner draws, and management fees
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 1 year of experience working with AppFolio (mandatory)
• At least 1 year of experience in real estate accounting/finance, ideally at an accounting firm working on real estate clients or directly at a real estate investment/development company
• Solid understanding of real estate accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English and Spanish)
• Willingness to learn and grow in the real estate accounting field
• Familiarity with communication and collaboration tools (Slack, Clickup, Workspace)

Location and schedule

This is a virtual (remote), full-time role available only to candidates located in Philippines

The position requires availability Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST
