Yempo - Your Employees Offshore is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our multi-skill finance team. The role supports an England-based client with project-based accounting, costing, and reporting responsibilities, across a growing family-run business.

You will manage AP workflows, assist with month-end close, and provide financial analysis to Directors. The position offers remote or office-based work, competitive weekly pay, and benefits including HMO and annual salary reviews.

Qualifications

• AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or in progress.
• Certificate/diploma/degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or related.
• 1–2 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally in construction or project-based environments.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with Zoho, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar; familiarity with Zoho Books or SimPRO is a plus.
• Integrity, discretion and trustworthiness; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
• Own Accounts mailbox; respond to staff, subcontractors, or suppliers promptly.
• Process accounts payable and reconcile with POs/Work orders in SimPRO.
• Maintain project/job costing records and allocate expenses.
• Process subcontractor invoices and verify documentation.
• Manage supplier payment schedules and payment runs.
• Process staff reimbursement claims.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings with external accountants/auditors/tax authorities.
• Maintain electronic and physical financial records; support management with financial analysis.
• Report variances and provide commercial insights to Directors.
• Comply with ISMS policies and guidelines.
