Job summary

Hospitality Equipment 2020 Pty Ltd, an Australian importer of commercial kitchen and bar equipment, seeks an experienced Accounts & Admin Assistant for remote work from the Philippines. The role involves end-to-end bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial reporting to support cross-border operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in bookkeeping/accounting, familiarity with Australian tax rules, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax compliance.
• Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with foreign exchange transactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
• Process invoices, receipts, and financial documents related to import and local transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
• Assist in the payment of import duties, taxes, and freight charges.
• Process overseas purchase orders. Reports on weekly and monthly as required.
• Handle local sales quotations and invoicing.
• Support the monitoring of inventory levels.
• Assist with GST and tax compliance (Australia).
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
