Elevate And Delegate is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own client accounting end-to-end and help build a small team as the practice grows. You will initially oversee bookkeeping and tax work for clients, then supervise juniors, review outputs, and streamline processes to serve as the backbone of the firm.

The role blends hands-on accounting with leadership, offering a fully remote setup to support a growing client base and long‑term career development.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of public accounting or client accounting experience.
• Experience with Drake Tax and TaxDome required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience preparing business and/or individual tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Ensure high-quality client deliverables.
• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance.
• Research accounting and tax issues as needed.
• Support clients throughout tax season.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Review work for accuracy and completeness.
• Improve workflows, documentation, and quality control.
• Help build and scale the accounting team over time.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for accounting questions.
• Communicate professionally with clients.
• Resolve accounting issues proactively.
• Manage deadlines across multiple engagements.
• Deliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision.
