Job summary

MCI is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a fully remote role supporting our US-based clients. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, and lead a team to meet tight deadlines.

You will supervise the accounting staff, assist with month-end and year-end close, audits, and drive process improvements while collaborating with FP&A and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in supervisory/leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Experience leading an accounting team in a BPO/shared services environment desirable.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and records maintenance.
• Supervise, support, and develop accounting team members to meet deadlines.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports and variance analyses for accuracy.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and cross-functional teams for insights.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and records.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls for efficiency.
