Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PRC PME license or eligible to obtain PME license.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering design and project experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and related tools.
• Knowledge of Philippine engineering codes and standards.

Responsibilities

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Subic, Zambales, where you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and solutions. As a Registered Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and client specifications
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed technical proposals for potential projects
• Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure designs are structurally sound and meet performance requirements
• Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and other engineering tools
• Oversee the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and testing to verify that completed work meets established standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, project managers, and contractors
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the operational phase of projects
• Ensure all work complies with applicable Philippine engineering codes, regulations, and environmental standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records for regulatory and compliance purposes

What we're looking for

• Valid Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) License from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design and project implementation
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical design principles, and structural analysis
• Experience with project management and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of Philippine engineering codes and standards
• Preferred: Experience in industrial manufacturing, HVAC systems, or heavy equipment design
