Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with FEA/CFD or similar simulation tools is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to present technical info clearly.

About the role

Green Nation Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our Alabang Muntinlupa City location in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the design, development, and optimisation of mechanical systems and components. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for translating innovative concepts into practical, reliable solutions that drive our business forward and contribute to our commitment to sustainable engineering practices. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver excellence in mechanical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment using industry-standard CAD software and engineering principles

• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate project requirements and propose effective engineering solutions

• Perform calculations, simulations, and testing to ensure designs meet performance specifications and safety standards

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and project management to ensure successful project delivery

• Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements to enhance reliability and performance

• Support procurement activities by evaluating suppliers and ensuring materials and components meet required standards

• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to resolve technical issues during manufacturing and field operations

• Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering

• Contribute to cost optimisation initiatives whilst maintaining quality and performance standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution

• Minimum of 1-5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, design, or a related field

• Proficiency with CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar), including the ability to create and interpret complex technical drawings

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes

• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or other simulation tools is preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and propose practical solutions

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical engineering applications

• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering work

• Professional certifications (such as PE/PEng) or membership in professional engineering bodies is advantageous
