Job summary

World Vision is seeking a Regional Environment and Climate Change lead to strengthen adaptation and environmental stewardship across the SAP region. You will work with Field Offices to build capacity, align programs with global commitments, and secure funding with donors and partners while advancing policies and learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Forestry, Environment, Climate Change or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of multi-country experience in Climate Adaptation.
• Experience with UN system, donors, academia or research organizations preferred.
• Proven track record in securing funding for climate and livelihoods initiatives.
• Strong leadership and management skills in technical teams.
• Ability to influence strategies and plans of WV partners and external partners.
• Experience with policy dialogue and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop a regional Environment and Climate Change action plan aligned with global commitments.
• Build FO capacity to activate action plans and strengthen technical understanding.
• Drive impact-focused program models to increase resilience of children and households.
• Coordinate regional engagement and represent WV SAP region as CCA technical expert.
• Support Field Offices in carbon emissions accounting and greenhouse gas reporting.
• Engage with donors and partners to secure climate funding and partnerships.
