Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to grow our Water/Climate Resilience and Maritime Infra projects in the Philippines. You will lead industry analysis, network with government agencies and donors, and design strategies to promote our consulting services.

With 10+ years of relevant experience, you will identify opportunities, support bid/no-bid decisions, and oversee major project proposals, delivering value across the firm and local markets.

Qualifications

• relevant bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or other relevant degree
• minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• experience interfacing with DPWH, DOTr, ADB, and WB, at the minimum
• basic knowledge of data analytics, IT, and risk management
• familiar with the various procurement laws in the Philippines
• excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• conduct industry analysis focusing on project opportunities, monitor development policies, funding trends, and project opportunities in the ODA and private sector
• represent Haskoning in networking, coordination, and business development meetings with government agencies, funding institutions, and project partners
• design and implement marketing and business development strategies for promotion of consulting firm’s services with government units, private sector, and donor institutions
• conduct external relations/networking with company clients and donors
• formulate and implement information network for marketing and project preparation purposes
• identify projects related to disaster risk management, water/climate resilience and maritime sectors
• evaluate opportunities and prepare inputs for bid/no-bid decisions
• identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and industry events
• provide project management oversight and monitoring of performances of awarded projects
• utilize results of performance assessment during marketing activities with clients for future projects
• lead or assist in preparation and packaging of technical and financial proposals (when required)
• provide support in contract negotiations with clients, associates, subcontractors or consultants
