Responsibilities

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Oversees hiring of qualified applicants and collaborates with hiring unit on required skills and competencies.
• Implements onboarding and training programs for HR personnel.
• Supervises HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, and performance management.
• Handles employment-related inquiries and escalated matters.
• Participates in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintains compliance with employment laws and best practices.
• Keeps knowledge current on HR trends, practices, and employment law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The HR Supervisor specializes in one or more HR facet and manages the day-to-day operations of a particular unit/s in the Human Resource & Admin Dept. of J&T Express, as well as the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. HR Supervisor generally handles one or more of the following facets: employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, recruitment, and employee data management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in a program of study related to Human Resources, Business Management, Sociology, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology
• Demonstrated experience in Human Resource
• At least 5 years of experience as HR Officer/Team Leader handling one or more facets of HR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Oversees the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions under him/her; collaborates with hiring unit to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Implements on-boarding and training programs for HR Personnel under his/her responsibility.
• Performs routine supervision required to administer and execute human resource programs of the unit including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, as well as, complex and/or sensitive matters involving the unit/facet.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for monitoring the performance of HR Personnel and the entire unit.
