We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project-Based Recruitment and HR Generalist to support our organization on a 3-6 month contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing specific HR initiatives, focusing primarily on full-cycle recruitment and providing generalist support for high-priority projects.
Note on Status: This role is initially project-based. However, based on outstanding performance, successful project completion, and business needs, there is a strong potential for conversion to a permanent or regular full-time employee status upon the conclusion of the contract period.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment Management (70% Focus)
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for designated roles within the project scope, from job requisition creation to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Sourcing & Screening: Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies (e.g., job boards, social media, networking) to build robust candidate pipelines. Conduct initial screening calls and shortlist qualified candidates.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and panels.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and status updates within the company’s ATS.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and metrics on recruitment progress to project leads and management.
2. HR Generalist Support (30% Focus)
- Project Documentation: Assist in developing, updating, and documenting HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks relevant to the project team.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate the seamless onboarding process for new project hires and manage the administrative tasks associated with employee transitions and project completion offboarding.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruitment and HR generalist activities align with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policy.
- Employee Relations (Limited): Provide initial support for basic employee inquiries related to project logistics, company benefits, and HR procedures, escalating complex issues to the permanent HR team.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2-3 years of progressive experience in Recruitment and HR Generalist roles. Experience in a project-based or contract environment is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Recruitment Expertise: Proven track record managing multiple requisitions simultaneously across different departments.
- HR Knowledge: Solid understanding of core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, basic employee relations, and employment law.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (e.g., [Specify ATS if known]) and HRIS software. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly integrate into a new team and adapt to project-specific requirements.
