Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Finance professional to join a multinational shared services environment. You will perform R2R closes, prepare reports, support intercompany accounting, and coordinate with regional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

You will communicate financial information clearly across countries and units, participate in regional meetings, and identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end closes with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and GL upkeep.
• Prepare and review financial reports and schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Support intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate with regional teams to resolve discrepancies and deliver on time.
• Communicate financial information clearly across countries and units.
• Attend regional/global finance meetings and discuss updates.
• Ensure internal controls and reporting procedures are followed.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and controls.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced multinational SSC environment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review financial reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with regional finance teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies, obtain necessary information, and ensure timely completion of reporting deliverables.
• Communicate financial information, accounting issues, and process updates clearly and professionally to colleagues across different countries and business units.
• Participate in regional or global finance meetings, providing updates on deliverables, explaining accounting issues, and discussing potential solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and established financial reporting procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Meet reporting deadlines while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, multinational shared services environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), general accounting, or financial reporting.
• Previous experience working in a shared services, global business services, or multinational company environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the confidence to communicate financial matters clearly and professionally.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with colleagues and finance teams across different regions.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cultures, time zones, and functional teams.
