Job summary

FTC Group of Companies is seeking a Rebar Engineer to prepare and review rebar shop drawings and take-offs, ensuring compliance with NSCP, ACI, and project specs. You will supervise fabrication/installation and coordinate with site and structural engineers, QA/QC, and subcontractors to monitor quantities, material usage, quality, and schedules.

On-site role with extended hours when required; a Civil Engineering degree and relevant experience are essential, with a licensed engineer preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed Civil Engineer is highly preferred.
2–5 years relevant construction or structural experience.
Knowledge of rebar detailing, structural drawings, and applicable codes.
BBS experience is an advantage.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office/Excel.
Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.
Willing to work on-site and extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review rebar shop drawings and quantity take-offs
Ensure rebar works comply with approved plans, NSCP, ACI, and project specifications
Supervise and inspect rebar fabrication and installation
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Structural Engineers, QA/QC, and subcontractors
Monitor rebar quantities, material usage, quality, and schedule
Prepare and assist with BBS when required
