Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to supervise reinforcement steel works on construction sites in Hinoba-an, Philippines. The role requires coordinating rebar activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, BBS, and safety standards to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities include overseeing cutting, bending, tying, and placement before concreting, while coordinating with formwork, concrete, precast, and QA/QC teams to optimize productivity and minimize waste.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering with reinforcement detailing knowledge.
• Experience in planning, supervising, and executing rebar works.
• Knowledge of BBS, project specs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with formwork, concrete, precast and QA/QC teams.

Job Description

Responsible for planning, supervising, and executing reinforcement steel (rebar) works in accordance with approved drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Oversee rebar cutting, bending, fixing, tying, and placement activities while ensuring correct spacing, cover, lap lengths, anchorage, and reinforcement positioning before concreting.

Coordinate with formwork, concrete, precast, and QA/QC teams to achieve project schedules and productivity targets.

Ensure compliance with HSE requirements by conducting toolbox talks, enforcing safe work practices, monitoring lifting operations, and maintaining a zero-incident work environment.

Perform quality inspections, manage material reconciliation, monitor steel consumption, and implement effective offcut management practices to minimize wastage, maximize reuse, and improve cost efficiency.

Maintain progress reports, manpower deployment records, and material tracking. Resolve site issues and support timely project delivery.

Requires a Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering with strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing, BBS, quality control, safety standards, and construction site execution.
