Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Manager, Risk Management within the First Line Risk & Controls team of Real-Time Payments International (RTPI) to mature risk identification, ownership, management and reporting across real-time payments markets.

You will partner with product, engineering, operations and risk teams, translate complex risk requirements into actionable steps, and drive remediation of identified weaknesses while delivering high-quality risk reporting for executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Advanced, applied knowledge of risk and control frameworks and the three lines of defence model.
• Ability to identify, assess, monitor and manage operational and technology risks with constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical skills to translate risk requirements into practical actions.
• Clear, confident communicator capable of influencing stakeholders across product, engineering and risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, operations and risk teams to identify, assess, monitor and manage key risks and controls, providing constructive challenge.
• Monitor the risk and control environment, identifying emerging risks, trends, issues and areas requiring management attention or escalation.
• Support risk and control assessments, assurance activities, operational resilience, business continuity and audit, and drive remediation of identified weaknesses.
• Maintain high-quality risk information and deliver clear, insightful reporting to support management decisions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve risk and control processes, monitoring and reporting.
• Build strong relationships across the business, promoting a culture of risk ownership and accountability.
