RELX is seeking a General Accountant in the Philippines to perform general ledger accounting, support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, and assist in financial reporting. The role collaborates with AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, Tax, Treasury, and business unit finance teams to ensure accurate recording and compliance with internal controls.

The role requires experience in General Accounting/GL or R2R, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in General Accounting, General Ledger, or Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-country accounting operations is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• General Ledger accounting: prepare and post journal entries; ensure correct account classification and documentation.
• Month-end and period-end close: perform accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjustments; support quarter/year-end close.
• Balance sheet reconciliations: reconcile GL balances, investigate discrepancies, maintain explanations.
• Intercompany accounting: review intercompany transactions and reconciliations; coordinate with other entities.
• Cash/bank and Fixed Assets: reconcile cash and asset accounts; support asset-related entries and reconciliations.
• Financial reporting and audit support: prepare schedules, assist in statutory reporting, support internal/external audits.
