Job summary

Kajima Philippines Incorporated is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of quantity surveying experience for bid preparation and cost control.

The candidate will interface with co-engineers, review proposals, perform quantity take-offs, prepare estimates, and ensure compliance with bid documents, plans, and standards.

Strong English communication and proficiency in MS Office and Planswift are required, with ISO standards knowledge considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Must be a licensed Civil Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years’ pro-active experience in quantity surveying (project).
• Hands-on knowledge of bid documents, procedures, quantity take-offs, and cost control.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal & written).
• Proficiency with Planswift and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interface with co-engineers; secure documents, plans, and specs for comprehensive proposals.
• Review, analyze & evaluate proposals from sub-contractors/suppliers.
• Determine/develop construction methodology and standards for estimating system.
• Solicit quotations from material/equipment suppliers; assess pricing & compliance.
• Perform quantity take-offs of materials, labor & equipment; prepare estimates.
• Maintain knowledge of Philippine & International codes and standards.
• Produce parameter reports from drafts to final bid packages.
• Provide timely re-estimates of redesigned or value-engineered projects.
• Implement and oversee compliance with KTMS.PH Integrated Management System.
• Execute changes related to processes per guidance from supervision.

• Good & effective English communication skills both verbal & written

Minimum Job Description:

1. Interface with co-engineers; secure all the necessary documents, plans and specifications required to assessments of a comprehensive proposal;

1. Review, analyze & evaluate proposals submitted by sub-contractors/suppliers;

2. Determine / develop construction methodology & standards as they are defined by the bid documents and create construction standards for estimating system;

3. Solicits quotation from material & equipment suppliers, review their proposals for accuracy of pricing and compliance to the specifications, plans & requirements of the Client;

4. Perform quantity take-off of materials, labor & equipment and prepare estimates in compliance with the bid documents;

5. Maintain current knowledge of Philippine & International codes and standards;

6. Produce a parameter report based on completed drafts, recap and final bid packages;

7. Provide timely re-estimates of re-designed or value engineered projects or bids;

8. Implement and overseer compliance of related processes based on the organization’s KTMS.PH Integrated Management System

9. Execute all the necessary changes of related processes relevant to KTMS.PH Integrated Management System

10. Any task in relation to the designation directed by Supervisor or Top Management.
