Job summary

Kajima Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation, take-offs, and bid analyses for civil engineering projects in the Philippines.

You will interface with engineers and suppliers to prepare accurate bids and ensure compliance with client requirements. The role requires at least five years of proactive quantity surveying experience, a civil engineering degree, and a valid PE license, with hands-on knowledge of bid documents and cost-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a valid civil engineer license.
• Minimum 5 years of proactive quantity surveying experience on projects.
• Hands-on bid documentation, quantity take-offs, and cost control experience.

Responsibilities

• Interface with co-engineers; secure all the necessary documents, plans and specifications required to assessments of a comprehensive proposal;
• Review, analyze & evaluate proposals submitted by sub-contractors/suppliers;
• Determine / develop construction methodology & standards as they are defined by the bid documents and create construction standards for estimating system;
• Solicits quotation from material & equipment suppliers, review their proposals for accuracy of pricing and compliance to the specifications, plans & requirements of the Client;
• Perform quantity take-off of materials, labor & equipment and prepare estimates in compliance with the bid documents;
• Maintain current knowledge of Philippine & International codes and standards;
• Produce a parameter report based on completed drafts, recap and final bid packages;
• Provide timely re-estimates of re-designed or value engineered projects or bids;
• Implement and overseer compliance of related processes based on the organization's KTMS.PH Integrated Management System
• Execute all the necessary changes of related processes relevant to KTMS.PH Integrated Management System
• Any task in relation to the designation directed by Supervisor or Top Management.

Job Qualifications:

• With a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• Must be a licensed Civil Engineer
• At minimum 5 years' pro-active experience in quantity surveying (project)
• With hands-on knowledge of, and experience with bid documentations, procedures, quantity take offs, cost control
• Good & effective English communication skills both verbal & written
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office & Planswift
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards is an advantage
