Job summary

MicroSourcing in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City, is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support project estimating. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and develop material and labor pricing in collaboration with the construction team.

Qualifications

• Experience performing quantity take-offs.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Familiarity with Windows 11 and construction estimation workflows.
• Ability to work well in a construction or estimating team.
• Dedicated and detail-oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs and SIs to understand project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications.
• Apply project details to take-offs to determine material quantities.
• Communicate with suppliers for material quotes and pricing information.
• Prepare detailed material and labor pricing for projects.
• Prepare bid packages with tender pricing per project specs.
• Collaborate with the construction team to support accurate estimating.

Your Role

As an Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Review tender documents, including drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs and SIs, to understand project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
• Apply project details and specifications to take-offs to accurately determine material requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain material quotes and relevant pricing information.
• Prepare detailed material and labor pricing for projects.
• Prepare bid packages with tender pricing for clients in accordance with project specifications.
• Work closely with the construction team to support accurate and timely project estimating.
• Apply strong attention to detail and mathematical skills when reviewing project requirements and preparing estimates.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Previous experience performing quantity take-offs.
• Proficient in blueprint/drawing reading and interpreting construction documents.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Windows 11.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills, concepts and processes quickly.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction or estimating team.
• Dedicated, hardworking and detail-oriented approach to work.

Preferred Skills/expertise/experience

• Previous experience using estimating software.
• Experience working directly with a construction team.
• Knowledge or experience with aluminum railing installation.
• Technical understanding of construction materials and project requirements.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations for project pricing.
• Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
