Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an Estimator to join our hybrid, night-shift team in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City. You will review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare bid pricing for construction projects.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong math, and collaboration with suppliers and the construction team. Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows 11 is important; experience with estimating software is a plus.

Your Role

As an Estimator, you will:

• Review tender documents, including drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs and SIs, to understand project requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
• Apply project details and specifications to take-offs to accurately determine material requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain material quotes and relevant pricing information.
• Prepare detailed material and labor pricing for projects.
• Prepare bid packages with tender pricing for clients in accordance with project specifications.
• Work closely with the construction team to support accurate and timely project estimating.
• Apply strong attention to detail and mathematical skills when reviewing project requirements and preparing estimates.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Previous experience performing quantity take-offs.
• Proficient in blueprint/drawing reading and interpreting construction documents.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Windows 11.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills, concepts and processes quickly.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction or estimating team.
• Dedicated, hardworking and detail-oriented approach to work.

Preferred Skills/expertise/experience

• Previous experience using estimating software.
• Experience working directly with a construction team.
• Knowledge or experience with aluminum railing installation.
• Technical understanding of construction materials and project requirements.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations for project pricing.
• Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
