Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with electrical focus.
• Experience in preparing BoQ and cost estimates for electrical installations.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, systems, labor costs and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel.
• Strong drawing/contract document interpretation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication across levels.
• PQSP or RICS membership is advantageous.
• Experience in Philippine construction industry preferred.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) to join Airmix Enterprise Construction Incorporated in a full-time capacity. Based in Commonwealth, Quezon City, Metro Manila, this role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate estimation, cost management and financial control of electrical works across our construction projects. As a key member of our estimating and quantity surveying team, you will be responsible for providing precise cost analyses and valuations that directly impact project profitability and client satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects whilst leveraging your expertise in electrical quantity surveying.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for electrical works from architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
2. Conducting thorough cost estimations and quantifications for electrical materials, labour and associated costs
3. Reviewing tender documents and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation of electrical requirements
4. Liaising with electrical engineers, contractors and clients to clarify scope and specifications
5. Monitoring and tracking project costs throughout the construction phase to identify variances and cost overruns
6. Preparing variation orders and claims documentation related to electrical works
7. Conducting site inspections and measurements to verify work completed and variations
8. Maintaining comprehensive cost databases and documentation for future reference and benchmarking
9. Collaborating with the project management team to provide financial insights and recommendations
10. Preparing progress reports and financial statements related to electrical contract performance

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with substantial focus on electrical works or specialization
2. Demonstrated expertise in preparing Bills of Quantities and detailed cost estimates for electrical installations
3. Strong knowledge of electrical materials, systems, labor costs and industry standards
4. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Planswift
5. Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications and contract documentsStrong analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels
8. Professional membership with a quantity surveying body (PQSP, RICS or equivalent) is advantageous
9. Experience in the Philippine construction industry is preferred
