is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed takeoffs, BOQs and cost estimates for architectural construction projects. Key responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and bill of quantities (BOQ) for architectural construction projects from design drawings and specifications
Develop accurate cost estimates and tender documentation for architectural works including finishes, facades, interior design elements and structural features
Analyse and evaluate construction costs, labour rates, material pricing and market trends to ensure competitive and realistic project estimates
Review architectural drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify scope, quantities and potential cost implications
Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers and procurement teams to clarify requirements and refine cost estimates
Prepare variation orders and supplementary estimates in response to design changes or scope modifications
Maintain up-to-date cost databases and estimating records for historical analysis and future reference
Provide cost planning advice and value engineering recommendations to optimise project budgets without compromising quality
Monitor actual costs against estimates and provide variance analysis and cost control reporting
Support the tendering process by preparing clear, comprehensive and compliant bid documents
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost estimating or a related role within the construction industry
Demonstrated expertise in preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documentation for architectural or building construction projects
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings and technical specifications
Competency in estimating software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with quantity surveying packages is advantageous
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, labour costs and pricing practices relevant to architectural works
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of Philippine building codes, standards and construction practices is preferred
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
