HelloDoc, Inc. in Taguig is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare material, labor, and production cost estimates for modular cabinetry projects.

You will monitor costs, track expenses, and provide management with reliable cost information for planning and decision-making to improve efficiency and resource utilization. The role requires reading technical drawings, strong Excel skills, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Purchasing, and Design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Industrial/Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Preferably with cost estimation or project costing experience.
• Experience reading technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare material, labor, and production cost estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and quotations to support planning, budgeting, scheduling, and management decision-making.
• Determine material quantities and resource requirements for modular cabinetry projects.
• Identify potential cost risks and factors that may affect project profitability and budget performance.
• Monitor actual costs and track expenditures against estimates.
• Review project changes and update cost estimates accordingly.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Design and other departments to ensure accuracy of material requirements and project costing.
• Maintain and organize records of estimates, cost analyses, budgets, and project-related documents.
• Assist in cost-control measures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.

Job Summary

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing accurate material, labor, and production cost estimates for modular cabinetry projects. The position ensures effective cost monitoring and budget control by analyzing project requirements, tracking actual expenses, identifying cost variances, and providing management with reliable cost information for planning and decision-making. The role also supports continuous improvement in cost efficiency and resource utilization throughout the production process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare accurate material, labor, and production cost estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and quotations to support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and management decision-making.
• Determine material quantities and resource requirements for modular cabinetry projects.
• Identify potential cost risks and factors that may affect project profitability and budget performance.
• Monitor and maintain actual cost data for all ongoing projects.
• Track project expenditures and compare actual costs against approved budgets and estimates.
• Review project changes, revisions, and additional requirements, and update cost estimates accordingly.
• Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and budget control.
• Prepare periodic cost monitoring reports and project cost summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Design, and other departments to ensure accuracy of material requirements and project costing.
• Maintain and organize records of estimates, cost analyses, budgets, and project-related documents.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost-control measures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Immediate Superior or Factory Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or any related field.
• Preferably with experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, project costing, or manufacturing operations.
• Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
