Job summary

TERADYNE is hiring a Quality Engineer (GCS, Philippines: Cebu) to develop and optimize repair processes. You will analyze repair data, drive improvements, and collaborate across functions to resolve issues and ensure quality standards are met.

The role emphasizes RCA/CAPA, process control, and supporting product transfers. Fresh graduates are welcome, with emphasis on analytical skills and PCB/ROHS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Knowledge in PCB technology and ROHS is an advantage.
• Experience with process audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and continuously improves well-defined repair processes and procedures.
• Gathers and analyzes repair process data to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of repair issues and escalations.
• Develops and implements process solutions to improve repair yield, process capability, and performance to meet KPIs.
• Drives Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA to address issues and prevent recurrence.
• Supports new product transfers by establishing and improving repair processes.
• Provides timely reports on repair process performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
• Takes ownership for the health and performance of repair processes and ensures compliance.

Opportunity Overview

• Develops, implements, and continuously improves well-defined repair processes and procedures.
• Gathers and analyzes repair process data to identify trends, resolve process issues, and drive improvements
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of repair process issues, customer concerns, and escalations.
• Develops and implements process solutions to improve repair yield, process capability, and operational performance to meet KPIs and business requirements.
• Drives effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address process-related issues, eliminate root causes, and prevent recurrence.
• Supports new product transfers by establishing and improving repair processes to meet operational and quality requirements.
• Provides timely reports and updates on repair process performance, issue and escalation resolution, improvement initiatives, and other assigned activities.
• Takes ownership and accountability for the overall health and performance of assigned repair processes, ensuring compliance with established standards and customer requirements.

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent courses

• Possesses high analytical skills
• Strong background in process control tools is required.
• Knowledge in Failure analysis and PCB technology is an advantage
• Knowledge in Electronic PCBA Manufacturing Tin-Lead and RoHS Processes and ROHS directive 2001/95/EC compliance is an advantage.
• Experience in conducting audits using a process-based approach is a plus
