Job summary

Teradyne in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines, is seeking a qualified QA engineer to champion product excellence by crafting and executing innovative quality assurance protocols. You will analyze test logs and repair history to improve troubleshooting and ensure compliance with industry standards.

You will own complex repair cases, drive CAPA actions, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve customer escalations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent.
• Diagnoses complex ATE failures at system and board level with data analysis.
• Must have strong sense of urgency and ownership, and works with all levels.
• Proficient in problem-solving and quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Pareto and FMEA.
• Good written and verbal communication for technical reports and findings.
• Experience in audits using a process-based approach is a plus.
• AI and Automation literate is a plus.

• Conduct structured root-cause analysis and implement CAPA to avoid recurrence.
• Drive quality performance by monitoring DOA, WARR, and NFF using data insights.
• Analyze test logs, schematics, failure trends, and repair history to improve troubleshooting.
• Develop and improve diagnostic methods, test coverage, repair processes, and documentation.
• Own complex repair cases through resolution and escalation when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely resolution of customer escalations.
• Generate timely reports on status of quality performance and projects.

Opportunity Overview

This person will champion product excellence by crafting and executing innovative quality assurance protocols that elevate industry standards and delight customer through:

• Conduct structured root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Drive quality performance by monitoring and reducing DOA, WARR, and NFF, using failure and repair data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze test logs, schematics, failure trends, and repair history to improve troubleshooting effectiveness.
• Develop and improve diagnostic methods, test coverage, repair processes, and technical documentation.
• Own complex repair cases through resolution and ensure proper escalation when higher-level engineering or factory support is required.
• Collaborate and engage with cross functional teams for the timely and effective resolution of customer/ escalations
• Drives the implementation of effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Generates timely reports on status of quality performance, resolution of issues/escalations, projects and updates on other tasks as assigned

• Diagnoses complex ATE failures at system and board level, using in-depth knowledge of products and test platforms along with data analysis and diagnostic tools.
• Must have strong sense of urgency and ownership, and works effectively with all levels of the organization, from technicians to management.
• Must have proficient in problem-solving and quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis and FMEA.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and presenting findings.
• Experience in conducting audits using a process-based approach is a plus
• AI and Automation Literate is a plus
