Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to support the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Manager in maintaining product quality, documentation, and supplier/customer requirements. You will review quality data, investigate complaints, and maintain quality records with suppliers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in QA within a regulated environment, strong attention to detail, and good English.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance or a related regulated environment.
• Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing technical documents and quality data.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with Excel and CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review COAs against approved product specs and flag out-of-spec results.
• Escalate discrepancies and support investigations into non-conforming products.
• Maintain product documentation including regulatory records.
• Prepare complaint investigation summaries and support corrective actions.
• Monitor recurring quality issues to identify trends.
• Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and audits.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on quality data.

Your Role

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will support the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Manager in maintaining product quality, compliance, documentation, and supplier/customer requirements. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to review quality data, investigate complaints, and maintain quality records.

What You'll Do

• Review supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs) against approved product specifications and identify out-of-specification results.
• Escalate supplier discrepancies and support investigations into non-conforming products.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, including specifications and relevant Halal, Kosher, and regulatory records.
• Complete customer quality questionnaires and prepare supporting information for management review.
• Record and monitor customer quality complaints using HubSpot and coordinate investigations with suppliers and internal teams.
• Prepare clear complaint investigation summaries and support corrective actions and follow-ups.
• Monitor recurring quality issues and assist with identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation, records, audits, and inspections.
• Perform other quality-related administrative tasks as required.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field, or currently pursuing a relevant qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, food manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing technical documents, specifications, and quality data.
• Basic knowledge of food safety principles such as HACCP, GMP, or BRC is an advantage.
• Experience in the food industry, food ingredients, or B2B distribution is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data, documentation, and systems such as Excel and CRM platforms.
• Well-organized with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to learn.

Top 5 Non-Negotiable/Priority Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, laboratory, or a related food/regulated industry role.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing COAs, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage quality records, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on issues independently.
