Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in structural steel works and QA/QC. The role oversees steel construction activities, ensures adherence to project specifications, industry standards (NSCP, AISC, ASTM), and quality requirements while coordinating on-site with suppliers and construction teams.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in structural steel works and QA/QC.
Experience reading structural/shop drawings and method statements.
Familiarity with NSCP, AISC, and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect steel fabrication and erection to ensure design compliance and quality.
Conduct QA/QC inspections including material verification, dimensional checks, and weld inspections.
Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams on steel delivery and installation.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including reports, test certificates, NCRs, and corrective actions.
Ensure works comply with relevant codes and standards (NSCP, AISC, ASTM).
Assist in resolving site-related issues for steel installations.
Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and safety meetings.
Monitor progress of steel works and report against the project schedule.
Promote health and safety at the job site.
