Job summary

Ecological Energy Technologies Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Electrical Engineer to ensure electrical works on solar PV projects are installed, tested, and completed per approved drawings, project specs, quality standards, safety, and electrical codes.

The role involves on-site inspection of DC/AC components, review of drawings, ITP/IR documentation, and witnessing electrical tests while coordinating with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and licensure as an Electrical Engineer (REE) preferred/required per project.
• Experience in solar PV, renewable energy, construction or electrical installation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of solar PV electrical systems, testing, commissioning, and electrical QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings, SLDs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Philippine electrical codes and standards.
• Strong inspection, documentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to be assigned to project sites and work extended hours when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical installation works for solar PV systems (DC and AC components).
• Review approved electrical drawings, specifications, method statements and inspection requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections of PV modules, DC cables, connectors, combiner boxes, inverters, AC cables, switchboards, transformers, grounding, and related equipment.
• Verify materials and equipment comply with approved specs and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain ITPs, IRs, checklists and QA/QC documentation.
• Witness and document electrical testing (insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, grounding) and other required tests.
• Monitor installation activities for compliance with plans, procedures and standards.
• Identify defects, non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with construction team.
• Prepare NCRs, punch lists, inspection reports and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Construction Managers, subcontractors, consultants and clients regarding electrical quality concerns.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Review approved electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) is preferred/required depending on project requirements.
