Job summary

MSpectrum Inc. seeks a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control for solar energy projects in Pasig, Philippines.

You will implement QA/QC plans, oversee inspections, testing, and audits to ensure compliance with design specs, standards, and safety regulations. You will review documents, coordinate with project teams, and promote continuous improvement while traveling to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer with licensure.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience in solar or renewable energy is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic monitoring/reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists for solar projects.
• Conduct inspections and tests on electrical, mechanical, and civil works to verify specs.
• Monitor installation activities of solar modules, inverters, and related systems.
• Identify non-conformities and prepare corrective action reports.

• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to meet quality requirements.

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control procedures in solar energy projects. This role ensures that all construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The QA/QC Engineer will oversee inspections, testing, documentation, and audits to guarantee that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists for solar energy projects.
• Conduct inspections and tests on electrical, mechanical, and civil works to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Monitor installation activities of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical systems.
• Identify non-conformities, prepare corrective action reports, and ensure timely resolution.
• Review and approve quality-related documents, including test reports, inspection records, and material certifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in all quality control activities.
• Support testing and commissioning teams in verifying system performance and safety.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation for project audits and handovers.
• Promote continuous improvement in quality standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Registered Electrical Engineer

• Experience in solar power systems, renewable energy facilities, or industrial plant operations is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and performance monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental requirements related to plant operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic monitoring or reporting tools
• Strong analytical, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel or be assigned to project sites as needed
