Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a QA Engineer for onsite work in Eastwood, Quezon City, on a day shift. You will test across desktop and mobile platforms, design test plans, and conduct various testing methods to ensure quality releases.

Automation skills in Python or Java are valued, with experience using Selenium and related tools. The role includes working with cross-functional teams and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Experience testing web, desktop and mobile apps (Android/iOS).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, execution and bug tracking.
• Experience writing automation tests using Python or Java.
• Experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Sikuli, TestNG, JUnit or similar.

Your Role:

As a QA Engineer, you will:

• Test software platform across desktop and mobile devices.
• Design comprehensive test plans and test cases to qualify software releases.
• Conduct black box, white box, and grey box testing.
• Execute manual and automated test plans and test cases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through bug reporting systems while working with developers to drive issues to resolution.

What You Need:

• Experience testing web, desktop, and mobile applications (Android/iOS).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, execution, and bug tracking tools.
• Experience writing automation tests using Python or Java.
• Experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Sikuli, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Experience testing servers and proxy-based applications.
• Knowledge of Windows and macOS security concepts, including SSH key files and SSL certificates.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, EC2, and S3.
• Exposure to Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
