Job summary

HelloConnect in Taguig, Philippines is seeking a Purchasing Team Leader to guide a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our NA Supply Chain Enablement function. The role focuses on driving efficient purchasing, data accuracy, and strong KPI performance across regions.

You will partner with local supply chain clusters to prioritize tasks, govern processes, and elevate risk management while aligning with strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least a four-year college graduate with a background in Supply Chain Operations, Management or related business field.
• Minimum of three years in procurement, supply chain, or data-entry roles with at least one year in people management.
• Experience with KPI tracking and reporting; familiarity with office equipment and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Purchasing Coordinators to perform purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with local HelloFresh supply chain clusters to execute daily operations and align on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and smooth information flow to stakeholders in daily activities.
• Drive team performance on core metrics, ensuring OTIF delivery and zero past-due invoices.
• Oversee inbound supply chain operations including supplier management, purchasing, delivery tracking, and KPI ownership for the category.
• Define governance and reporting to elevate risks across the NA supply chain.
• Develop SOPs for onboarding and BAU operations; review capacity and reallocate resources as needed.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement to automate purchasing processes and manage tooling requests.

As a Purchasing Team Leader, you will take on a key responsibility in leading a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our NA Supply Chain Enablement function, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of Purchasing Coordinators to accurately and efficiently carry out purchasing activities
• Partner closely with local HelloFresh supply chain cluster teams to execute daily operations through ruthless prioritization, clear governance and alignment on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and correct flow of information to relevant stakeholders involved in the daily activities.
• Drive team performance and accountability across core metrics, ensuring On Time, In Full (OTIF) delivery, maintaining zero past-due invoices, and securing accurate, timely execution of coordinator responsibilities.
• Ownership of the inbound supply chain operations involving operational supplier management, purchasing, delivery tracking and KPI management for your category area.
• Define a governance and reporting framework to elevate and manage risks throughout the NA supply chain.
• Establish and drive consistency across all regions and assign workload in the team accordingly to ensure team objectives are met. Regularly review team capacity to reallocate resources effectively and strengthen the service capabilities.
• Generate documentation in the form of SOPs to ensure efficient onboarding and BAU operations of your team.
• Build a continuous improvement culture to harmonize and automate the purchasing process. Compile tooling requests and recommendations.
• Set up measures to report on performance of the Purchasing services, present to key stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
• Provide guidance, support and feedback to ensure that all team members meet their performance goals and deadlines. Motivate your team to go above and beyond.
• Serve as the subject matter expert of the team, role modeling problem solving behaviours
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing business needs, supporting on day to day tasks as needed and covering absences when required

What you’ll bring

• At least a four-year college graduate preferably with a strong background in Supply Chain Operations, Management or any Business-related course.
• At least three years experience working within procurement, supply chain and/or as a data entry clerk. At least one year of people management experience is required.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Experience managing or reporting on KPIs
• Experience using Microsoft Office & Google suite programs (ERP/MRP systems is a plus)
• Language: English, other European languages considered a plus (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian)
