Job summary

HelloConnect, part of HelloFresh, is seeking a Purchasing Team Leader to guide a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our NA Supply Chain Enablement function. You will drive daily operations, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to improve reliability and service quality.

This role requires strong people leadership and the ability to set direction for a dispersed team. You’ll own KPI reporting, OTIF performance, supplier management, and onboarding of new processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Supply Chain, Business, or Management.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or data entry; at least 1 year in people management.
• Experience reporting on KPIs and working with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
• English language proficiency; other European language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Purchasing Coordinators to carry out purchasing activities with accuracy and efficiency.
• Partner with local HelloFresh supply chain clusters to execute daily operations with governance and strategic alignment.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely information flow to stakeholders.
• Drive team performance and accountability on core metrics, OTIF delivery, and invoicing timelines.
• Own inbound supply chain operations including supplier management, purchasing, delivery tracking, and KPI management for your category.
• Define governance and reporting to escalate and manage risks across the NA supply chain.
• Balance workload, review capacity, and reallocate resources to meet team objectives across regions.
• Create SOPs to support onboarding and BAU operations for the team.
• Develop continuous improvement initiatives to automate and streamline purchasing processes.
• Set up measures to report on purchasing service performance to stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
• Provide guidance and feedback to ensure team performance goals and deadlines are met.
• Act as subject matter expert and role model problem solving behaviors.
• Remain flexible to changing business needs and cover day-to-day tasks as required.

As a Purchasing Team Leader, you will take on a key responsibility in leading a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our NA Supply Chain Enablement function, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success and enhance customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of Purchasing Coordinators to accurately and efficiently carry out purchasing activities
• Partner closely with local HelloFresh supply chain cluster teams to execute daily operations through ruthless prioritization, clear governance and alignment on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy and correct flow of information to relevant stakeholders involved in the daily activities.
• Drive team performance and accountability across core metrics, ensuring On Time, In Full (OTIF) delivery, maintaining zero past-due invoices, and securing accurate, timely execution of coordinator responsibilities.
• Ownership of the inbound supply chain operations involving operational supplier management, purchasing, delivery tracking and KPI management for your category area.
• Define a governance and reporting framework to escalates and manage risks throughout the NA supply chain.
• Establish and drive consistency across all regions and assign workload in the team accordingly to ensure team objectives are met. Regularly review team capacity to reallocate resources effectively and strengthen the service capabilities.
• Generate documentation in the form of SOPs to ensure efficient onboarding and BAU operations of your team.
• Build a continuous improvement culture to harmonize and automate the purchasing process. Compile tooling requests and recommendations.
• Set up measures to report on performance of the Purchasing services, present to key stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
• Provide guidance, support and feedback to ensure that all team members meet their performance goals and deadlines. Motivate your team to go above and beyond.
• Serve as the subject matter expert of the team, role modeling problem solving behaviours
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing business needs, supporting on day to day tasks as needed and covering absences when required

What you’ll bring

• At least a four-year college graduate preferably with a strong background in Supply Chain Operations, Management or any Business-related course.
• At least three years experience working within procurement, supply chain and/or as a data entry clerk. At least one year of people management experience is required.
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Experience managing or reporting on KPIs
• Experience using Microsoft Office & Google suite programs (ERP/MRP systems is a plus)
• Language: English, other European languages considered a plus (German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian)
