  • Working knowledge of sourcing processes including market scanning, RFQ/RFP preparation, supplier identification, supplier qualification, competitive bidding, bid evaluation, negotiation, supplier development, and performance management.
  • Ability to perform an apple-to-apple comparison of supplier proposals, considering technical compliance, commercial terms, lead time, quality, capacity, warranty, service support, risks, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), rather than evaluating suppliers based on price alone.

  • Ability to analyze indirect spend, supplier base, market trends, commodity/service cost drivers, industry benchmarks, and alternative supply markets to identify sourcing opportunities and potential supply risks.
  • Working knowledge of purchase terms and conditions, payment terms, warranties, liabilities, service-level requirements, NDAs, contracts, and other commercial provisions relevant to supplier engagements.
  • Ability to identify and resolve supplier, delivery, quality, billing, capacity, and technical commercial issues, perform basic root-cause analysis, and develop alternative sourcing or mitigation plans when required.
