Job summary

IntouchCX is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to source, negotiate, and procure supplies and services for company operations. This role evaluates vendors, manages relationships, tracks orders, and ensures compliance with policy and budgets.

Responsibilities include processing POs, negotiating terms, handling telecom contract renewals, and maintaining thorough purchasing records. Onsite work is required, with strong communication and analytical skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 3-4 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiating and vendor evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and requisitions end-to-end.
• Evaluate and select vendors, monitor performance.
• Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
• Handle contract renewals for corporate telecom plans.
• Maintain vendor contracts, pricing, and history records.
• Respond to internal inquiries about orders and status.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and approval matrices.
• Occasionally perform other procurement tasks as needed.

About The Job

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality supplies, equipment, and services for company operations at optimal cost. This role evaluates suppliers, manages vendor relationships, tracks orders, and ensures all purchasing activities comply with company policy, budget guidelines, and the approval matrix.

As a Purchasing Specialist, You Will…

• Generate, review, and process purchase orders and requisitions related to the end-to-end procurement process efficiently.
• Ensure that requisitions have the correct and complete approval of relevant business leaders.
• Research, screen, and evaluate new vendors.
• Request quotes (RFQs), compare vendor bids, and negotiate favorable prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
• Handle all contract renewal and termination requests for corporate telecom plans.
• Maintain a strong relationship with vendors while monitoring their delivery performance and product quality.
• Manage the accreditation of suppliers based on company requirements.
• Liaise with functional teams to ensure clear alignment on supply needs and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate review of MOA or contract with suppliers.
• Map current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Cancel POs as may be required or close them when it needs to be archived after the PO is fully received and invoiced.
• Ensure that all tickets sent to the ticketing system are fulfilled, closed, and served.
• Maintain thorough digital records of vendor contracts, pricing agreements, purchase history, and performance metrics.
• Respond to internal stakeholder and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Any purchasing/procurement tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

As a Purchasing Specialist, You Need…

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any related field.
• 3-4 years of strong procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor evaluation, performance management, and price negotiation.
• Experience working with procurement contracts and related legal documents is an advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Suite or any Procurement software application (Oracle, Expensify, and similar procurement tools).
• Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work effectively in a changing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
• Amenability and readiness to work onsite.
• Proven sourcing, negotiation, and procurement skills, delivering competitive advantage in different spend categories.
• Supplier relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion to reach goals.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Uncompromised integrity.
• The ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and holidays.
