Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase materials, supplies, equipment, and services as required by the company
Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and contracts
Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure accuracy of specifications, quantities, and pricing
Coordinate with requesting departments to understand procurement needs
Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery
Inspect and verify received items against purchase orders and delivery receipts
Maintain proper documentation of purchases, contracts, and supplier records
Identify and evaluate new and alternative suppliers
Ensure compliance with company policies, budget controls, and procurement procedures
Resolve supplier issues such as shortages, delays, or quality concerns
Prepare procurement reports and cost analysis for management
