Job summary

Bandai Namco Philippines is seeking a Purchasing Senior Supervisor to lead the buying and procurement team in Lipa City, Batangas. This role focuses on developing effective purchasing strategies, managing supplier contracts and optimizing inventory to support manufacturing and distribution.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years in purchasing with 2–3 years in a leadership role, strong ERP and data analysis skills, and a degree in SCM or related field. CPSM preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in purchasing, procurement or inventory management with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior role
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control systems
• Proven experience in cost optimization and supplier negotiations
• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems
• Excellent leadership and ability to motivate and develop team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with cross-department collaboration
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field; CPSM or similar credentials preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Senior Supervisor to join our operations team in Lipa City, Batangas on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role within our Manufacturing division, specifically within Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory management. The Purchasing Senior Supervisor will play a strategic role in overseeing our purchasing operations, ensuring efficient procurement processes, and optimizing inventory management to support our manufacturing and distribution objectives. You will be instrumental in maintaining our supply chain excellence and contributing to the company's operational efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the purchasing and procurement team, providing guidance, training and performance management to ensure team excellence

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize costs whilst maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships

• Manage supplier negotiations, contracts and performance evaluations to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply

• Oversee inventory management systems and processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise carrying costs

• Monitor purchasing metrics, prepare reports and analyze procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement

• Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics and finance departments to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and ethical procurement practices

• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers whilst maintaining relationships with existing supplier networks

• Manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries and resolve supply chain issues to support operational continuity

• Implement and improve inventory control procedures and stock management protocols

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or senior role

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control systems

• Proven experience in cost optimization and supplier negotiations

• Proficiency with procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and inventory management tools

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics is highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Certification in Purchasing and Supply Management (CPSM) or similar credentials is preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools
