Job summary

The Funny Lion in the Philippines seeks a seasoned Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations and guide a procurement team to achieve cost-efficient sourcing.

You will collaborate with internal departments and suppliers, manage supplier performance, and maintain stock levels to prevent operational disruptions across properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Three years in a supervisory role, or two years in a managerial role.
• Experience in procurement with leadership responsibilities.

Job description

The Purchasing Manager contributes to company’s success by leading and overseeing the overall procurement activities. The primary responsibility is to manage the procurement team including but not limited to: collaborating with different stakeholders (Internal and Suppliers) for strategic cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, supplier development, item development & standardization. Ensures no operational disruption by maintaining a strategic and healthy stock level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage overall procurement operations and team performance

• Drive item development and standardization across properties

Working Knowledge / Core Competencies:

• Proven experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar leadership role

• Strong knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems

• Experience in local and global sourcing, logistics, and supply chain best practices

• Solid understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field

• Proven experience in procurement with at least:

  • Three (3) years in a supervisory role, or

  • Two (2) years in a managerial role
