CASTEM PHILS. CORPORATION is seeking a Purchaser/Import professional to manage PEZA documentation, supplier price negotiations, and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process PEZA documents pertaining to incoming deliveries from PEZA-registered suppliers.
• Coordinate and monitor the incoming importation with shipping lines, forwarders and/or brokers to avoid delays in customs clearance.
• Ensure issued Purchase Orders are properly received, confirmed, and filed; monitor outstanding orders and deliveries.

As Purchaser

• Responsible for the preparation and processing of PEZA documents pertaining to incoming deliveries from PEZA-registered suppliers
• Receives duly approved Purchase Requisition Slip from all sections and takes necessary action.
• Requests suppliers for quotations and records the same in the canvass sheet for the right price comparison and quantity, and negotiates price at the highest technical quality required by the requesting section.
• Ensures that all issued Purchase Orders to suppliers are duly received and confirmed
• Ensures that Purchase Orders were chronologically files, and monitors outstanding Purchase Orders, especially those with partial delivery, both locally purchased and overseas

As Import

• Coordinates and monitors the incoming importation properly with shipping lines, forwarders and/or brokers.
• Responsible for preparing import documents for PEZA and Customs processing
• Evaluates immediately and double-checks import documents such as invoice, Packing list and BL and do necessary action in case of discrepancies
• Closely monitors and communicates with brokers/forwarders regarding imports to avoid delays in customs clearance
• Keepsakes and files pertinent documents such as: import documents, Receiving Reports, Purchase Requisition Slip, and other Material Control-related documents

Job Qualifications

1. Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is often necessary.
