Qualifications

• 1-2 years in purchasing/procurement within manufacturing, logistics or warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement software or ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation skills to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
• Excellent communication to work with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

About the role

Stockcare Cargo and Warehousing Inc. is seeking experienced Purchasing Associates to join our dynamic procurement team. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Purchasing Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and procurement of materials, goods and services that support our logistics and warehousing operations. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that directly impact our operational efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, delivery schedules and reliability

• Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete

• Negotiating prices, terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money

• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse management to maintain adequate stock whilst minimising excess inventory

• Processing purchase requisitions from internal departments and prioritising orders based on urgency and availability

• Tracking shipments and managing delivery schedules to ensure on-time receipt of goods

• Maintaining supplier records and documentation, including contracts, invoices and correspondence

• Resolving supplier issues, discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner

• Liaising with quality assurance and operations teams to ensure products and services meet required standards

• Maintaining accurate purchasing records and preparing regular reports on procurement activities and spend analysis

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in purchasing, procurement or a related field within manufacturing, logistics or warehousing sectors

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software or ERP systems

• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to achieve cost savings whilst maintaining quality standards

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and data entry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

• Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
