Job summary

HelloConnect in Manila is seeking a Purchasing Team Leader to guide a pan-European purchasing function. You will supervise Coordinators, coordinate with global supply chain clusters, and ensure accurate, timely purchase orders across European markets.

Strong leadership, KPI ownership, and data-driven reporting are essential. English proficiency is required; multilingual skills are a plus. This role offers growth in a dynamic global BPO environment with a strong focus on wellbeing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and optimize a team of Purchasing Coordinators handling pan-European purchasing operations across key categories (e.g., Protein, Grocery, Packaging).
• Manage end-to-end category operations, including supplier performance, forecasting, procurement, and delivery tracking.
• Hold final accountability for critical metrics such as OTIF, waste mitigation, ASN compliance, and customer error reduction.
• Partner with international supply chain cluster teams to align on strategic initiatives and establish robust daily operational governance.
• Leverage data-driven reporting frameworks to proactively identify, upscale, and mitigate supply chain risks across Europe.
• Review team capacity dynamically with leadership to distribute workloads effectively and scale service capabilities.
• Champion process optimizations, propose software/tooling enhancements, and build standardized SOPs to streamline team onboarding and daily operations.
• Monitor service performance metrics and deliver clear, actionable insights to key business stakeholders.
• Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert, role-modeling agile problem-solving behavior under pressure.

In this role, you will take on a key responsibility in managing a team of Purchasing Coordinators within our International Supply Chain Operations function. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our purchase orders to suppliers across all European markets. Working closely with the local Supply Chain teams, and Procurement this role will supervise the generation and distribution of purchase orders, contributing to our ongoing efforts to drive business success and enhance customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Stakeholder Management: Monitor service performance metrics and deliver clear, actionable insights to key business stakeholders.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert, role-modeling agile problem-solving behavior under pressure.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or data entry/administrative operations.
• Previous people management or team leadership experience is preferred; candidates with a strong interest and potential to lead teams are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in additional European languages such as German, Dutch, French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus.
