Asaba Manufacturing Phils., Inc is seeking a Purchasing Associate to support procurement activities, monitor inventory, and ensure cost-effective material availability. You will process requests, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain records to support operations across departments.
Responsibilities include ERP-based transaction entry, cost monitoring, and report preparation, with emphasis on accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company procedures.
The Purchasing Associate supports purchasing activities, inventory monitoring, and procurement controls to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of materials and supplies.
Assist in processing purchase requests, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, orders, delivery schedules, and follow-ups.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate stock of materials and supplies.
Support purchasing controls by checking purchase requests, prices, quantities, and supporting documents.
Assist in monitoring purchasing costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Maintain accurate procurement, inventory, and supplier records.
Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, Finance, and other departments regarding purchasing and inventory requirements.
Encode and update purchasing transactions in the ERP or procurement system.
Assist in preparing purchasing and inventory reports.
Support the Purchasing team in ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Perform other purchasing and inventory-related tasks as assigned.
College Graduate, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
With background or experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, or Logistics.
Understanding of inventory management and basic supply chain processes.
Basic knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and purchasing analysis.
Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems/software.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making.
Ability to work independently and effectively with different departments.
